Georgians deserve the truth about the real cost of data centers—not just in dollars, but in their impact on our health, our environment, and our communities.
Before approving additional large-scale data centers, Georgia should require transparent, independent impact assessments that evaluate their effects on air quality, water resources, energy demand, public health, and the reliability of our electric grid. The public has a right to know who benefits, who pays, and who bears the consequences.
Economic development should never come at the expense of Georgia families. As your Public Service Commissioner, I will demand transparency, insist on accountability, and fight to ensure that growth is responsible, sustainable, and always puts People Before Profits.
Shelia's Promise to Georgians:
People Before Profits. Every decision Shelia will make as your Public Service Commissioner will be guided by three simple principles:
Lower electric bills through greater accountability from Georgia Power.
Make data centers pay their own way—not Georgia families.
